Should You Add Persuasion To Your She Shelf?

I would give Persuasion a 4/5 stars. It was absolutely adorable and made me laugh out loud several times. Let’s get into the pros and cons:

Pros:

- Although the story itself is a classic, the dialogue they use in the film is more modern and easier to understand.

- There is a lot of racial diversity in the cast, which is refreshing to see in a movie set in that time period!

- It is family friendly! I appreciate that they didn’t change it too much from the original to make it more adult targeted.

Cons:

- It is a pretty long movie and can be a bit slow at times if you’re not a lover of slower dramas.

I thought Persuasion was really quite good and I would watch it again! (I’ve already seen it twice.)

She Shelf Verdict: Yes! Add this one to your she shelf!
